Newark, NJ: The Ramapo College women's cross country team opened up the season on Friday, Aug. 29th at the NJIT XC Alumni Season Opener. The Roadrunners, who went up against NCAA DI competitors along with unattached runners, finished fourth in a field of five teams with 90 points.
Dale Leonard finished first for the Roadrunners, third overall and the first D3 runner to cross the finish line. She posted a time of 19:04.6 on the 5k course.
Frankie Cartagena finished in the top 20 with a time of 21:32.6 while
Rea Pagatpatan posted a time of 21:44.8.
Brooke Meberg and
Kiera Gregory recorded times of 21:57.5 and 22:17 to round out the Roadrunners top five finishers.
Ramapo returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 13th when they travel to Poughkeepsie, NY and Vassar Farm for the Vassar Season Starter at 6:00 PM.
