Newark, NJ: The Ramapo College men's cross country team opened up the season on Friday, Aug. 29th at the NJIT XC Alumni Season Opener. The Roadrunners, who went up against NCAA DI & DIII competitors along with unattached runners, finished third in a field of five teams with 66 points.
Ryan Pena placed first for the Roadrunners while he was also the first D3 athlete to finish fourth overall in 26:50.3 in the 8k race.
Julian Mignone and
Brandon Meneses finished 13th and 14th respectively with times of 27:20.3 and 27:28.3.
Jose Espinal also finished in the top 20 with a time of 27:47.4 while
James Brill was Ramapo's fifth finisher in the race with a time of 28:06.5.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, Sept. 13th when they travel to Poughkeepsie, NY and Vassar Farm for the Vassar Season Starter at 6:00 PM.
