Newark, NJ: The Ramapo College men's cross-country team placed seventh overall at the Metropolitan Cross Country Championships this morning. The meet was hosted at Branch Brook Park by New Jersey Institute of Technology. The Roadrunners competed against a field of all NCAA D1 competitors.
Ryan Pena placed first for the Roadrunners and ninth overall when he posted a personal best time of 25:12.6.
Brandon Meneses also set a personal best when he clocked in second for the team in 26:11.3.
Brian Metz crossed the finish line in 25:12.7, a new personal best while
Jose Espinal did the same with a personal best time of 26:48.3. Matthew Reed capped off the day of personal bests with one of his own in 26:53 flat.
James Brill finished sixth for the team in 28:01.3 while
Elwin Lliguisupa wrapped up Ramapo's top seven finishers with a time of 28:37.5.
Ramapo returns to action on Saturday, October 18th when they compete in the Border Battle hosted by Rowan University at DREAM Park at 11:45 AM.
