RAMAPO COLLEGE ANNOUNCES TYLER KWINTA AS FIRST-EVER FULL-TIME HEAD MEN’S & WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL COACH

Mahwah, NJ: Ramapo College Director of Athletics, Jan Koslowsky, has announced that Tyler Kwinta has been promoted to head coach of both the men's and women's volleyball programs. Koslowsky welcomes Kwinta as the College's first-ever full-time head coach of both programs. Kwinta, who became the 17th women's head coach in program history last fall, will become the seventh men's head coach in program history.

"I am incredibly excited to be here! I am looking forward to the challenge of taking on both programs. I can't wait to get started on building something special here at Ramapo. Go Roadrunners," said Kwinta.

"When I took on the role of Director of Athletics four years ago, one of the goals we had as a department was to have a full-time head coach in place for all of our programs. This is the first time that the Men's and Women's Volleyball Programs will have a full-time head coach, allowing us to provide our athletes with the overall student-athlete experience both on and off the court," said Koslowsky.

Kwinta took over the Ramapo College women's volleyball program for the 2024 season in August following a stellar 2023 season, the team won the first NJAC Women's Volleyball Title in school history. The 2024 season was a rebuilding year for Kwinta and the squad where they capped off the season with a win over Centenary University at home on senior day. Prior to Ramapo, Kwinta served as the women's volleyball assistant coach at NCAA Division I University of Connecticut during the 2023 season. He also serves as the head coach of the Warren Sixpack Volleyball Club.

"Coach Kwinta brings with him a strong background in volleyball, playing and coaching at the NCAA Division I level. His experience and roots within the volleyball world will position him well as he has a bright future ahead of him. I look forward to having him be a part of the Roadrunner family, and to lead the men's and women's volleyball program," Koslowsky added.

Kwinta was a four-year student-athlete at Sacred Heart University from 2020-2023. He served as the team captain and was named to the EIVA All-Academic Team where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science, Finance & Marketing.
