Mahwah, NJ: The Stockton University women's lacrosse team defeated Ramapo College today in NJAC action, 17-3. The Ospreys improve to 11-5 overall and 2-3 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners wrap up the season with a 5-8 overall record and 0-5 in the league.
Stockton pushed the score in the first quarter with eight goals while they added four in the second to take a 12-0 lead into halftime.
Erin Smeilus scored back-to-back goals in the third to put Ramapo on the board as
Bethany Glaser assisted the first goal. Stockton added two more goals in the third while Glaser scored an unassisted goal with 6:32 on the clock. In the fourth, the Ospreys added three goals to their lead, 17-3.
For the Roadrunners, Glaser recorded five ground balls while posting four caused turnovers and four draw controls.
Lauren Travaglini collected five ground balls, seven draw controls and one caused turnover. Lean Whitney led the way with five caused turnovers while she added four ground balls. In goal,
Alyssa Curto recorded nine saves for the Roadrunners.
