Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College baseball team defeated St. Joseph's University Long Island today in non-conference action, 8-5. The Roadrunners push their win streak to six games and improve to 12-4 overall while the Golden Eagles now stand at 9-8 overall.
Zack Bailey worked a walk in the third inning with the bases loaded to force home
Eric Knapp with the game's first run, 1-0. In the fifth inning, St. Joseph's Long Island scored three unearned runs on a Ramapo fielding error, 3-1. Ramapo scored four in the bottom half of the fifth inning to take a 5-3 lead.
Jesse Swartout doubled down the left field line to plate Bailey and Doninic Ciani to tie the game, 3-3. Swartout later scored on a Golden Eagle throwing error before

Matt Lalomia with a big double to right field, 5-3. SJLI scored two in the sixth to tie the game at five before Ramapo took the lead for good in the sixth.
Brandon Tauber singled to lead off the inning before Knapp and Ciani each worked a walk to load the bases with no outs.
Zach Novakowski ripped a double to the right-center field gap which cleared the bases for the 8-5 lead.
Ramapo reliever
Nick Danbrowney earned his first save with two innings of no-hit ball. He struck out two, walked to and did not let up a run.
Ryan Lasko (1-0) earned the win in relief while
Jake Depetris started on the mound for the Roadrunners. He struck out eight, walked one and scattered five hits while surrendering three runs (none earned).
The Roadrunners return to action tomorrow afternoon when they host Alvernia University in non-conference action at 3pm.
