Auburndale, FL: The Ramapo College baseball team improved to 10-4 overall with a sweep over DePauw University this morning; 3-0 in game one and 7-2 in game two. The Tigers now stand at 6-11 overall.

Ramapo starting pitcher
Nick Danbrowney (3-1) scattered three hits and struck out ten in the complete game victory on the mound.

Zach Novakowski drove in a pair of runs including the first run of the game. Pinch runner
Weston Baronian scored from second base on a hard hit single from Novakowski in the bottom of the first, 1-0. Later in the inning,
Jesse Swartout drove in Novakowski with an RBI single of his own, 2-0. In the sixth inning, Novakowski made it 3-0 in favor of the Roadrunners with a solo home run.

Game Two
Ramapo got on the board with three runs in the top of the first inning.
Matt Lalomia singled home Novakowski before
John Higgins ripped a ground-rule double that allowed Zach Bailey to score, 2-0. Later in the inning,
Brandon Tauber plated Lalomia with an RBI groundout, 3-0.

Depauw scored two in the second to come within one before Ramapo added three runs in the fifth inning. Bailey recorded an RBI double which plated Novakowski and
Robert Klawans before Higgins collected two RBI with a single for a 6-2 lead. In the sixth inning, Novakowski connected on his second solo home run of the day to push the score, 7-2.

Dominick Ciani (1-1) struck out five, walked three and gave up just one hit and two runs in four innings of work to earn the win.
Ryan Lasko earned his second save of the season with three innings of shutout baseball. He struck out two, walked none and scattered two hits. Novakowski finished 3-4 with three runs scored and one RBI while Higgins finished 2-4 with three RBI.

Ramapo wraps up their time at the RussMatt invitational tomorrow morning with a 10:30am game against Augustana College (IL) at Chain O'Lakes Field.Â
