RAMAPO FALLS TO CENTRE AT MUSIC CITY CLASSIC

Gallatin, TN:  The Centre College men's basketball defeated Ramapo College tonight at the Music City Classic hosted by Welch College, 57-53. The Colonels move to 6-2 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 2-10 on the year.

The Colonels took the lead in the first half with 4:26 on the clock on a put back basket from Riley Mastin, 20-18. Centre ended the half scoring seven more points to go into the locker room up, 27-25. Each team led nine times in the game where and neither team led by more than six points as Ramapo's largest lead was in the first half (6-2) with 15:54 remaining. The Colonels largest lead came with just seven seconds remaining in the game (57-51). In the second half, Centre went up five with a three-pointer from Drake Ingram (18:46) before the Roadrunners would close the gap to just one, 32-31 (16:07) on a basket from Enoch Hutchison. Another three-pointer from Ingram pushed the score, 35-31 with under 16 minutes left to play. The Colonels would hold off the Roadrunners who shrunk the lead to just one three different times down the stretch, the final time coming with 1:12 remaining in the game with a layup from Jalen Thomas. Landen Hamilton sank a big three-pointer for Centre with 46 seconds on the clock to take a 55-51 lead before Ingram sank a pair of free throws with 12 ticks remaining, 57-51. Elijah Barlow scored the final points of the game from the charity stripe for the Roadrunners as Centre held on for the four-point non-conference victory, 57-53.

Mastin led the Colonels with a double double of 15 points and 11 rebounds while he added two blocks and one assist. Ingram finished 3-8 from beyond the three-point line and tallied 13 total points with two steals and three rebounds. Landen Hamilton added seven points, three rebounds, three steals and two assists.

For the Roadrunners, Branden Moore led the team with 17 points while Thomas added 12 points, eight rebounds. Barlow and Nahum Lewis each contributed with nine points while Barlow added four rebounds and two assists.

Ramapo returns to action on Jan. 7th 2026 when they travel to Rutgers-Newark University for a NJAC match-up at 8:00 PM.
