Wayne, NJ: The William Paterson University women's volleyball team defeated Ramapo College in NJAC action, 3-0 (25-10, 25-16, 25-13). The Pioneers move to 15-10 overall and 4-3 in the NJAC while the Roadrunner now stand at 15-8 overall and 3-4 in the league.
The Pioneers hit a combined .301 in the match with 43 total kills on 103 attempts with 12 errors. They were led by Cecilia Miller who posted 14 kills while Kristian Glenn hit .600 with 12 kills on 20 attempts with no errors. Riley Elliott tallied nine kills with six kills and four aces while Bella Demers posted 21 digs to lead the team on defense. Abby Houpt (16) and Taylor Grady (14) split setting duties while Grady added seven digs and Houpt posted three kills, one block and one dig.
Asya Aka posted seven kills to lead the team for the Roadrunners while
Valentina Palen added five kills and seven digs. The team posted 17 kills on 101 attempts with 19 errors in the match.
Katie Bishop posted 15 assists, two blocks and seven digs while
Emma Garcia collected 12 digs to lead the team on defense.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, November 1st when they travel to Wilkes-Barre, PA for a non-conference tri-match hosted by Wilkes University (4pm) along with Drew University (2pm).
