Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

STOCKTON SLIPS PAST RAMAPO IN WOMEN'S SOCCER ACTION

Mahwah, NJ:  The Stockton University women's soccer team used an early first half goal to defeat Ramapo College today in NJAC action, 1-0. The Ospreys move to 7-4-5 overall and 2-2-2 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners now stand at 5-7-2 overall and 1-5 in the NJAC.

The Roadrunners had back-to-back shots in the 29th minute where Morgan Keil made two great saves to keep Ramapo off the board. Stockton would get a goal from Makayla Jaffe, her fifth of the year, to put the Ospreys up one in the 29th minute (28:32).  The score would hold as the Ospreys and Keil would keep the Roadrunners from finding the back of the net. Ramapo held a 13-11 edge in shots in the game while Stockton posted six on goal to Ramapo's five. The Roadrunners recorded four corner kicks while the Ospreys posted three. Gabby Matias recorded five saves in goal for Ramapo while Keil tallied five for Stockton in the shutout win.

The Roadrunners return to action Oct. 22nd when they travel to Montclair State University for a NJAC game at 7:00 PM.
