Newark, NJ: The Ramapo College women's cross-country team placed sixth overall at the Metropolitan Cross Country Championships this morning. The meet was hosted at Branch Brook Park by New Jersey Institute of Technology. The Roadrunners competed against a field of all NCAA D1 competitors.
Dale Leonard placed fourth overall and first for the Roadrunners when she posted a personal best time of 17:41.3.
Jasmin Silva-Vargas also set a personal best when she crossed in 19:34.6 while
Brooke Meberg finished third for the team with a new personal best of 19:38.1.
Kiera Gregory was right behind her for the Roadrunners with a new personal best (19:43.3) while
Frankie Cartagena also set a new personal best of 20:07.3.
Rea Pagatpatan collected a personal best when she crossed the line in 20:58.1 and
Lydia Rojas wrapped up the Roadrunners top seven finishers with a time of 21:40.2.
Ramapo returns to action on Saturday, October 18th when they compete in the Border Battle hosted by Rowan University at DREAM Park at 11:00 AM.
