Staten Island, NY: The Ramapo College women's indoor track and field team placed 7th overall at the Metropolitan Indoor Championships this afternoon. The meet was held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
Gbarper Dwah won the 60m dash in 7.70 seconds defeating a field of NCAA D1 competitors. Dwah also placed 11th in the 200m dash in 26.06 seconds.
Dale Leonard placed 2nd in the 3,000m run with a time of 10:07.80.
Zoey Cassavell finished in fifth place in 10:36.60.
Gianna Penyak clocked in at 11:13.30 for an eighth-place finish. In the mile run,
Rea Pagatpatan (12th) crossed the finish line first in a pack of four Roadrunners with a time of 5:44.67.
The 4x200m relay team placed 5th overall with a time of 1:46.50. The team was made up of Dwah Isabel, Crespo
Jianna Gorospe and
Ashley Gordon.
Bryanna Shepperson finished in 11th place in the high jump when she cleared 1.40m.
The Roadrunners return to Ocean Breeze on Saturday, Feb. 8th at the Big Apple Invitational which is scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM.
