Mahwah, NJ: The University of Saint Joseph field hockey team moved to 2-2 overall with a 1-0 blanking over Ramapo College tonight at the Athletic Center Turf Field. The Roadrunners now stand at 1-2 overall.
Grace Kociszewski scored her team leading fifth goal of the year off a rebound on her own shot moments before (49:25) in the fourth quarter to put the Blue Jays on the board. The Blue Jays held the Roadrunners in the final minutes of the game to hold onto the road win. Ramapo recorded 16 shots including six on goal while the Blue Jays recorded nine shots and seven on goal. The Roadrunners held a 9-3 edge in penalty corners in the game.
Michelle Kukan collected five saves in goal for Ramapo while Jaci Felix-Hull posted six for the Blue Jays.
Ramapo returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 11th on the road at Keystone College for a non-conference game at 5pm.
