MOMM NETS GAME-WINNER IN 2-1 ROADRUNNER VICTORY OVER VASSAR

Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo College field hockey team earned a 2-1 win over Vassar College today in non-conference action. The Roadrunners and Brewers each move to 2-6 overall.
 
Ramapo got on the board in the third quarter when Victoria Chavez scored her team leading third goal of the year in the 33rd minute (32:20). Jesslyn Patricia collected the assist as the Roadrunners went up 1-0.  Vassar would tie the game at one with a goal in the 48th minute (47:07) as Mackenzie Allen scored her first goal of the season off a pass from Alexa Gwyn. Late in the fourth quarter, Eliana Momm hit the back of the net with the game-winning goal (51:54) off a pass from Kayla Gray.
 
The Ramapo defense and Michelle Kukan held off a late press from the Brewers as they secured their second win of the season, 2-1. Kukan posted 13 saves in the game while Jesslyn Patricia recorded a defensive save early in the second quarter. For the Brewers, Grace Wiley tallied five saves.
 
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, Sept. 28th at 4pm as they host SUNY Oneonta in a non-conference game at 4pm.
