Montgomery, NY:  The Ramapo College women's cross country team opened up the 2024 season today at the Jasper Fall XC Invite hosted by Manhattan College at Twin Ponds on the Farm. The Roadrunners won the 6k Open Race while also posting the top two finishes with Zoey Cassavell and Gianna Penyak finishing 1-2.
 
Ramapo posted five top ten finishes in the race. Cassavell won the event in 24:19.2 while Penyak placed second in her first collegiate race of her career clock in at 24:21.2. Zoe Gregory finished 5th overall in 25:04 while Elena Guzman placed 7th in 25:45.2 in her first collegiate race. Kiera Gregory wrapped up the Roadrunners top five finishes with an 8th place finish in 26:11.4.  
 
Ramapo returns to action next Friday, Sept. 20th when they compete at the Herb Lorenz Invitational hosted by the College of New Jersey at 5:30pm.
