New Paltz, NY: The Ramapo College baseball team earned an 11-7 win over New Paltz today on the road. The Roadrunners win their fifth straight game and move to 16-8 overall while the Hawks now stand at 13-9 overall.
Ramapo scored three runs in the second and five in the third to take an 8-0 lead before New Paltz got on the board in the bottom of the fourth.

Matt Lalomia later scored on a throwing error, 2-0. Swartout scored on an RBI groundout from
Myles Seid for a 3-0 score. The third inning was highlighted by RBI singles from
John Higgins and
Robert Klawans as Ramapo extended the lead, 8-0.
New Paltz plated two in the fourth and four in the fifth as Ramapo held an 8-6 lead. In the sixth, Higgins drew a bases loaded walk to plate
Tyler Guadagno before Tallent lifted a sac fly to right field which allowed
Dominick Ciani to score, 10-6.
Zack Bailey walked and later scored on a wild pitch to push the lead, 11-6. In the eighth, the Hawks tacked on one run with a sac fly.
Ramapo belted out 13 hits in the game as Ciani finished 3-6 with two runs scored while Tallent, Lalomia, Swartout and Klawans each collected two hits each.
Will Kennedy (1-0) earned the win on the mound in relief for Ramapo. He struck out three, walked none and let up just two hits and two runs (one earned) in 2.1 innings of work.
James Garthaffner started for the Roadrunners on the mound. He struck out five and scattered two hits in four complete innings of work while surrendering five runs.
Ramapo returns to action on Thursday, April 11th when they host William Paterson University in a NJAC game at 3:30 PM.
