Auburndale, FL:  The Ramapo College baseball team split a pair of games against Colby College. The Mules move to 7-3 overall as the Roadrunners (8-6) snapped Colby's five game win streak in game two.
 
Game 1:
Colby built a 10-0 lead after 4 innings before Ramapo got on the board with one in the bottom of the fourth and four in the fifth to cut the lead in half. The Mules added one in the top of the seventh while Ramapo scratched two across in the bottom half of the inning. Colby got out of a two out bases loaded jam in the bottom of the seventh with a strikeout to end the inning and preserve the 11-7 win.
 
Jack Martin (2-1) took the loss for the Roadrunners with two strikeouts, three walks and eight hits while he surrendered nine runs (four earned). Ramapo recorded 13 hits in the game as 
Dominick Ciani finished 3-4 while 
Zack Bailey, 
John Higgins and 
Matt Lalomia each tallied to each.
 
Game 2:
Zack Bailey put the Roadrunners on the board with a solo homerun in the top of the first inning before Colby's Ryan Grace connected for one in the bottom of the inning for a 1-1 tie. Ramapo scored there in the second with an RBI double from 
Robert Klawans and a two run homerun from 
Jesse Swartout, 4-1. Colby added three in the third while Ramapo put up five in the fourth. 
Tyler Guadagno worked a bases loaded walk before Bailey doubled to plate two runs for a 7-5 lead. Lalomia lifted a sac fly while Ciani plated Bailey with an RBI single, 9-5. Colby added one in the fourth and Ramapo added five in the fifth and one in the sixth for a 15-7 lead.
 
Nick Danbrowney (2-0) earned the win with six strikeouts, three walks while he scattered seven hits and let up seven runs. 
Gerard Chiricolo struck out three, walked one and let up just one hit in the final two innings.
 
Ramapo returns to action tomorrow morning with their final game in Florida against Purchase College at 10:00 AM.
