Riverdale, NY: The University of Mount Saint Vincent women's lacrosse team defeated Ramapo College tonight, 14-10. The Dolphins and Roadrunners each stand at 2-4 overall.
The Dolphins outscored Ramapo in two of the four periods in the game while they pulled away in the third with five goals to the Roadrunner's two. Makenna Reekie made 13 saves in goal for UMSV including five in the second half combined.
Kelly Griffin and
Erin Smeilus each tallied four goals in the game while
Kaylie Gresek and
Bethany Glaser put in one each. Gresek and Griffin also added three assists each to their resume on the night.
Alyssa Curto collected seven saves for the Roadrunners in goal.
The Roadrunners return to action on Thursday, March 21st when they travel to the University of Saint Joseph for a non-conference game at 4:00 PM.
