Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's basketball team won their second straight game with a 77-72 road win over William Paterson University. The Roadrunners move to 17-8 overall and 11-7 in the NJAC while the Pioneers drop to 6-19 overall and 1-17 in the league.

Ramapo earns the #4 seed in the upcoming NJAC Men's Basketball Tournament and will host #5 The College of New Jersey in a first round game on Saturday, Feb. 17th at 1:00 PM at the Bradley Center. Tickets for the tournament are $10 for adults, $5 for students with ID and senior citizens.

The Roadrunners had three players score in double figures as they were led by
Jordan Myers with 26 points and 12 rebounds while he added four assists. Myers finished 12-18 from the field in the game.
Anthony Corbo added 17 points, six rebounds, three assists and one steal while
Shane Rooney added 16 points, nine rebounds, three assists and one block. Ramapo scored 52 points in the paint and 16 second chance points. Ramapo shot 53% (33-62) from the floor, 14% (2-14) from the three-point line and 69% (9-13) from the free throw line. The score was tied three times in the game, all three early in the first half before Ramapo took the lead for good on a basket from Corbo for a 13-11 score with 13:20 on the clock in the first half. Ramapo led 39-27 at halftime. The Roadrunners held off a WPU comeback down the stretch as the Pioneers cut an 18 point lead to just six with 1:21 left in the second half. WPU got it down to just three with a basket with just 27 seconds remaining. Following a WPU timeout, Rooney put down a dunk off an assist from Corbo for the 77-72 win.
The Pioneers were led by MJ Moncrieffe who posted 21 points while he added eight points and four steals. Shawn Summers, Jr. tallied 20 points, eight rebounds and two steals. WPU shot 41% (28-67) from the field, 15% (4-26) from the three-point line and 63% (12-19) from the free throw line. The Pioneers scored 32 points in the paint and 16 second chance points along with 13 points off Ramapo turnovers.
