New York, NY: The Ramapo College women's indoor track and field team opened up the 2024-2025 season at the TCNJ Winter Open today at the NY Armory. The meet was hosted by the College of New Jersey.
Gbarper Dwah won the 60m dash in 7.67 seconds, just off her own school record time of 7.61 seconds. Her time is currently 6th across NCAA D3 this season.
Zoey Cassavell grabbed a 2nd place finish in the mile run (5:22.64) while
Jasmin Silva-Vargas placed 5th in 5:49.02 and
Maria Davila placed 10th in 6:17.26.
Barbara Exilus clocked in at 43.66 seconds in the 300m dash which lowers her career best and is 8th all-time in program history.
Rea Pagatpatan posted a 9th place finish in the 1000m run in 3:25.85.
In the field,
Jessica Branham finished 8th overall in the long jump when she posted a mark of 4.80m.
Bryanna Shepperson cleared 1.43m in the high jump to finish 11th overall. To wrap up the meet, the 4x400m relay team posted a combined time of 4:22.42. The team was made up of Exilus,
Victoria Romanov,
Kamalah Williams and
Lynell Thomas.
The Roadrunners return to the track in 2025 when they host the Ramapo Season Opener at the NY Armory on January 17th.
