CHAVEZ SCORES IN 4-1 LOSS AT WILLIAM PATERSON

Wayne, NJ:  The William Paterson University field hockey team defeated Ramapo College 4-1 in NAJC action this afternoon. The Pioneers move to 3-12 overall and 1-5 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners wrap up the season with a 3-15 overall record and 0-6 in the conference. 

The Pioneers scored one in the second and third quarters and two in the fourth. Julia Dennehy scored the first two goals for WPU with assists from Lauren Rennie and Julia Mean. In the third quarter, Alexandra Stoner scored unassisted while she added the team's final goal in the fourth as Dennehy and Mean each etched the assist. Ramapo got on the board in the final quarter of action as Victoria Chavez collected her team leading sixth goal of the year. WPU recorded six penalty corners in the game while Ramapo tallied eight. Michelle Kukan posted three saves for the Roadrunners in the final game of the season.
