Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's soccer team and Kean University played to a 1-1 draw in NJAC action today at the Athletic Center Turf Field. Each team earns a point in the conference standings as the Roadrunners move to 6-2-3 overall and 1-1-1 in the NJAC while the Cougars now stand at 2-6-4 overall and 0-2-1 in the conference.
Ramapo got on the board early in the first half with 2:40 on the clock as
Kyle Allen scored his eighth goal of the season off a cross from Gianfrano Ponce, 1-0. Kean would tie the game in the 19th minute (18:07) when Donte East hit the back of the net off an assist from Anthony Garcia Munoz.
Each team recorded seven shots on goal in the game while the Cougars tallied seven corner kicks to Ramapo's five.
Nikolai Matthews of Ramapo and Dominic Ridge of Kean each recorded six saves for their respective teams in the game.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, October 12th when they travel to TCNJ for a NJAC game at 12 PM.
