Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's tennis team earned their first dual match victory of the season with a 6-3 win over visiting Manhattanville College. The Roadrunners move to 1-0 overall while the Valiants now stand at 1-1 overall.
Ramapo earned two team points in doubles action with wins at first and third doubles.
Melanie Brentnall and
Mackenzie Dates posted an 8-6 victory at first doubles while
Katie Obssuth and
Tahlia Crescenzo won 8-2 at third doubles.
In singles action, Brentnall won 7-5, 7-6 (3) at first singles while
Anna Bysiek posted a 6-3, 7-6 (4) win at fourth singles. Obssuth posted a 7-5, 6-2 win at fifth singles and Crescenzo won at sixth singles, 7-5, 6-3.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, September 23rd when they travel to the New Paltz Tournament for a 10:00am start.
