Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo College softball team earned an at-large bid to the 2023 NCAA Softball Tournament when the bracket was revealed this afternoon. The Roadrunners are making their ninth appearance in program history and fourth under head coach Bridgette Quimpo. Quimpo's 2017 squad won the program's second NCAA Regional Title (2006 & 2017) and advanced to the program's first ever Super Regional round.
 
The Roadrunners (32-12-1), who are headed to Ashland, VA and host Randolph-Macon College, were awarded the #2 seed in the regional and will be joined by #1 seed Randolph-Macon, #3 seed St. John Fisher University and #4 seed Swarthmore College. The Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets (38-8) are winners of the ODAC Tournament and are also ranked #10 in the most recent NFCA Top 25 Poll. St. John Fisher Cardinals (28-12) are winners of the Empire 8 Tournament while the Swarthmore College Garnet (24-16) are winners of the Centennial Conference Tournament.
 
The regional round begins on Thursday, May 18th as the Roadrunners take on St. John Fischer at 2:00pm. The Yellow Jackets will host the Garnet in game two of the day at 4:30pm. The two winners will move onto game three of the regional on Friday, May 19th at Noon while the two losers will play on Friday at 2:30pm in game four. The winner of game four and the loser of game three will play at 5:00pm on Friday to advance to Saturday's championship game. A full regional bracket can be found here.
 
The winner of the Randolph-Macon Regional will match up against the winner of the Marietta Regional which features familiar foe #1 Rowan, #2 Pfeiffer, #3 Marietta and #4 Penn State-Berks. The Super Regionals are scheduled for May 26th and May 27th and is a best-of-three series.
