Randall's Island, NY: The Ramapo College women's outdoor track and field team competed at the 2023 Metropolitan Outdoor Conference Championships held at Ichan Stadium.
Suzanne Zaugg finished fifth overall in the 1,500m run when she clocked in at 4:49.27. Zaugg's time is second all-time in program history.
Zoey Cassavell placed 13th overall in 5:02.92.
Gbarper Dwah grabbed a second place finish in the 100m dash when she posted a time of 12.21 seconds.
Meredith Yaskovich was also in the final of the 100m dash as she placed seventh overall in 12.70 seconds. In the 400m race, Barbara Exulis clocked in at 1:01.76 for a sixth place finish. Dwah came back to finish third in the 200m dash as she posted a time of 25.16 seconds, which is her personal best and third all-time at Ramapo. The 4x400m relay team made up of
Kacy Ewing, Cassavell,
Renee Martignoni Mercado and Zaugg placed fifth overall with a combined time of 4:26.89.
In the field,
Jade Sampson placed seventh overall in the shot put with a mark of 10.96m, which is 6th all-time at Ramapo.
Mia Santana placed sixth overall in the javelin with a throw of 27.89m while
The Roadrunners return to action Friday, April 14th and Saturday, April 15th when they travel to the Larry Ellis Invitational hosted by Princeton University.
