Mahwah, NJ: The #6 ranked College of New Jersey women's lacrosse team earned a 22-1 NJAC conference win over Ramapo College this afternoon. The Lions wrap up the NJAC regular season at a perfect 5-0, winning their 13th regular season title. The Roadrunners finish the 2023 season with a 4-11 overall record, 0-5 in the conference.
Ramapo scored first in the game with a goal from
Kelly Griffin in the first minute of action unassisted. The Lions scored nine goals in the first, six in the second, two in the third and five in the fourth. Anna Wright led the way for TCNJ with six goals while Ally Tobler posted five, Anna Devlin collected four and both Katherine Naiburg and Jillian Westerby added three each.
In the net for TCNJ, Julia Charest started and played the first two quarters while Hailey Wexler was in goal for the Lions the final two quarters as neither Lion recorded a save.
Alyssa Curto played all 60 minutes in the net for the Roadrunners as she tallied seven saves in the game. She wrapped up the season with 123 saves which is 7th in the single season record book while her 216 career saves is currently 4th best in program history.
