Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College baseball team swept NJAC rival New Jersey City University today at Jeff Maund Field. Ramapo won game one, 4-3, and game two, 11-3. The Roadrunners move to 20-13 overall and 7-7 in the NJAC while the Gothic Knights now stand at 11-23 overall and 1-13 in the conference. This is the 26th time in program history the Roadrunners have recorded 20 wins in a single season.

Game One
Ramapo scored one run each in the first and second inning for an early 2-0 lead. In the first, Brian Baranok drove in Dominic Ciani with a deep sac fly to center field before Jason Cuba drove in Matt Carovillano with an RBI single. In the sixth, NJCU put their second run on the board before Ciani drove in what proved to be the game-winning run with a hard hit single up the middle which plated Justin Garthaffner, 4-2. The Gothic Knights pushed one run across in the ninth before Ramapo reliever Will Paoli closed the door for the one run Ramapo victory, 4-3.

Nick Danbrowney (6-2) earned the win on the mound for the Roadrunners as he struck out seven, walked three and let up eight hits and three runs (one earned) in eight complete innings of work. Paoli earned his team leading fifth save of the season with two strikeouts in the ninth.

In the sixth, Lalomia singled home Tyler Guadagno before Egner lifted a sac fly to plate Baranok with the game-tying run, 3-3. Lalomia later scored on a NJCU error to take a 4-3 lead before Cuba drilled a two-RBI triple to center field for a 6-3 lead. Ciani then plated Cuba with an RBI single to push the score, 7-3. In the seventh, Egner drove in two with a single through the infield as Baranok and Lalomia scored before Garthaffner scored on a Carovillano sac fly, 10-3.
