Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College baseball team battled late in the game to earn a non-conference win over the College of Mount Saint Vincent, 6-5. The Roadrunners move to 11-6 overall while the Dolphins now stand at 10-8 on the year.
 
Ramapo saw themselves down 2-0 heading into the bottom of the second before they scored three runs to take a 3-2 lead. 
Matt Carovillano drove in 
Matt Lalomia with an RBI single to put the Roadrunners on the board before 
Sean Donaghue plated 
Justin Garthaffner with a sac fly to center field to tie the game, 2-2. 
Jason Cuba then knocked in Carovillano with the go-ahead run with a single through the right side of the infield, 3-2.
 
In the fifth, the Dolphins tied the game at three with a solo home run by Eric Zimmermann, 3-3. In the top of the seventh, CMSV scored two unearned runs for a 5-3 lead before Ramapo took the lead back in the bottom half of the inning. Baranok worked a walk before Lalomia launched a two-run homerun down the left field line to tie the game at five. Carovillano laced a double to left-center before 
Will Egner drove him in with a hard hit single through the infield into left for the 6-5 lead. The Dolphins would not go away quietly in the last two innings. In the eighth they stranded one runner on base while they would put two runners on base before Ramapo reliever 
Billy Scanlon induced back-to-back infield ground outs to end the game.
 
Scanlon earned his first save of the season while 
Matt Ivanicki (1-0) earned his first win of the year in relief. He struck out one, walked one and let up just one hit in 2.1 innings of work. Ramapo recorded eight hits in the game including two by Carovillano and Egner.
 
Ramapo returns to action on Sunday, April 2nd as they travel to Stockton University to open up NJAC conference play at 11:30am.
