Brooklyn, NY: Four players scored in double figures tonight as the Ramapo College men's basketball team defeated Brooklyn College, 82-55. The Roadrunners move to 5-1 overall while the Bulldogs now stand at 0-7 on the season.
Shane Rooney led the way for Ramapo with his X double-double of the season. Rooney recorded 22 points and 12 rebounds along with one assist and one steal.
Jordan Myers added his X double-double of the year with 15 points and 12 rebounds while
Peter Gorman collected 14 points and a team high six steals and five assists.
Anthony Corbo tallied 12 points and seven rebounds while
Justin Bladen collected nine points by sinking three three-pointers.
Ramapo scored 32 points in the paint, 26 points off a fast break and ten points off Bulldog turnovers. The Roadrunners shot 49% (27-55) from the field, 42% (6-14) from the three-point line and 78% (22-28) from the free throw line.
Brooklyn was led by Mekhi Barlow with nine points while he added six rebounds and one block. David McFadden and Malik Dale each collected eight points in the game while Stephon McGill pulled down a team high eight rebounds while recording seven points. The Bulldogs scored 30 points in the paint and 21 off of Ramapo turnovers. The team shot 32% (22-68) from the floor, 17% (4-23) from the three-point line and 70% (7-10) from the free throw line.
The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, November 29th when they travel to NJAC rival Kean University (2-2/1-0 NJAC) for a 7:30 pm game.
