Mahwah, NJ: The Rowan University men's soccer team defeated Ramapo College 2-0 today in NJAC action at the Athletic Center Turf Field. The Profs move to 5-3-5 overall and 3-2-1 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners now stand at 4-8-2 overall and 1-5 in the conference.
Rowan got on the board late in the first half when Ryan Gale put in a header for his fourth goal of the season as Johnny Troiano earned the assist. In the second half, with just 2:13 left in the game the Profs scored their second goal this time off the foot of Davide Caputo, his third of the season as Troiano added his second assist of the day, 2-0.
The Profs held a 7-4 advantage in shots on goal in the game while Ramapo held a 9-7 lead in corner kicks. Dylan Aportela recorded four saves for the Profs in the road victory while
Zachary Natt posted five saves in goal for the Roadrunners.
Ramapo returns to action on Wednesday, October 18th when they travel to Rutgers-Newark University for a NJAC game at 7:00pm.
