Glassboro, NJ: The #6 seeded Ramapo College baseball team earned a comeback win over #1 seeded Rowan University today in the first round of the NJAC Tournament. The Roadrunners advance to take on host #4 seeded Kean University on Friday afternoon at Jim Hynes Stadium at 3:30pm. The Profs move onto game four of the tournament and will take on #5 TCNJ at Kean at noon on Friday.
Rowan (30-7) who are also ranked #7 in the D3baseball.com Top 25 poll, took a 5-0 lead with two runs in the first and three runs in the second. Ramapo got on the board in the top of the third inning with three runs of their own.

Justin Garthaffner earned an RBI sac fly as
TJ Roman crossed home plate, 3-5. The Profs added five runs in the fourth inning highlighted by a three-run home run by Ryan Mostrangeli to put the team up 10-3.
Ramapo came right back in the fifth inning with an RBI single from
Sean Donaghue before Wisniewski made it a two-run game with a grand slam, 8-10. Rowan tacked on two in the bottom half of the fifth for a 12-8 lead before Ramapo added two in the sixth and two in the seventh to tie the game, 12-12. Baranok connected on a two-run home run in the sixth to once again come within two, 10-12, before a bases loaded walk to
Tyler Guadagno forced home Wisniewski, 11-12. Baranok was then hit by a pitch with the bases loaded allowing Roman to score to tie the game at 12 all.
Rowan took a 13-12 lead in the seventh before Carovillano hit an RBI double in the eighth inning to retie the score, 13-13. Guadagno pushed home Wisniewski with an RBI single to take the lead for good, 14-13 before they extended their lead in the ninth with an RBI sac fly from Donaghue before
Matt Lalomia scored on a Prof error, 16-13.
Will Paoli (2-3) earned the win on the mound for Ramapo in relief. In three innings of work he struck out five while letting up just one hit to the Profs. Wisniewski finished with a 3-6 day at the plate with four RBI and four runs scored while Baranok also drove in four RBI. Carovillano and Roman each collected three hits while Guadagno, Garthaffner and Donaghue all posted two hits each.
Ryan Murphy led the way for the Profs with five RBI including five hits and three runs scored. Christian Bascunan (0-1) took the loss in relief for Rowan. He worked the final two innings, surrendering five hits and four runs (two earned).
