Farmingdale, NY: The Farmingdale State College baseball team posted an 11-1 win over Ramapo College today in non-conference action. The Rams move to 14-10 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 11-17-1 overall.
The Rams collected 11 hits in the game while the pitching staff held the Roadrunners to just four hits. Farmingdale scored one run in the bottom of the first, two in the third, four in the fifth and two in the seventh. Ramapo scored their run in the top of the eighth before the Rams added their final two runs in the bottom half of the inning.
Aidan Supp led off the eighth with a triple to right-center field before
Robert Klawans lifted a sac fly to right field to plate Supp.
Steven Clancy (6-1) held Ramapo to just three hits in 6.2 innings of work with nine strikeouts and no walks. Danny Wolf worked the final 2.1 innings with one strikeout, one walk while he surrendered one hit and one run.
Troy Karaty took the loss on the mound for Ramapo; he worked the first two innings without surrendering a hit. He struck out one, walked one and let up just one run.
Jared Haag worked four innings in relief with five strikeouts. Haag let up six runs (three earned) and scattered seven hits.
Billy Scanlon and
Robert Sayle worked the seventh and eighth innings respectively, each striking out one.
Ramapo returns to action on Thursday, April 21st when they host Rutgers-Newark University in the first game of the home-and-home weekday series at 3:30pm.
