Mahwah, NJ: The #15 ranked Kean University baseball team posted a 3-0 win over Ramapo College today at Jeff Maund Memorial Field. With the win, the Cougars improve to 24-6 overall and 7-1 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners now stand at 10-15-1 overall and 2-6 in the conference.
Dylan Taliaferro (6-0) worked six scoreless innings with five strikeouts while he let up just three hits. Daniel Keenan earned his fourth save of the season with three scoreless innings while he did not let up a hit. The Cougars scored all three of their runs in the sixth inning aided by three Ramapo errors. Michael Lapczynski reached on an infield error before Phil Marcantonio was hit by a pitch to put runners on first and second with no outs. Following a sac from Josh Jackson that included two errors on the play, Lapczynski was able to score for a 1-0 lead. A hard hit single to right field plated Marcantonio before a sac from Caleb Rodriguez brought home Jackson with the third run of the game, 3-0.

Dominick Ciani (0-2) took the loss on the mound for the Roadrunners, he struck out two and scattered five hits in five complete innings of work.
John Higgins worked the final four innings for the Roadrunners and let up just one hit while striking out six.
Ramapo returns to action tomorrow on the road at #7 Rowan University for a NJAC doubleheader starting at 11:30am.
