Davenport, FL: The College of St. Scholastica baseball team battled back to defeat Ramapo College, 15-8 tonight. The Knights improve to 2-5 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 2-3 on the year.

Ramapo got on the board early with three runs in the top of the first inning. With one out
Tyler Guadagno and
Brian Baranok recorded back-to-back singles before they moved up one base on a pass ball.
Matt Carovillano then recorded a sac fly to center field plating Guadagno for the first run while
Justin Garthaffner laced a ball over the right fielder's head for an RBI double.
Matt Lalomia then singled home Garthaffner for a 3-0 score.

The Saints got one back in the third inning when Jack Harris hit a solo home run before Ramapo added one back in the top of the fourth.
Christian Alonso drove home
TJ Roman with an RBI single, 4-1. The Saints scored one in the fourth before
Aidan Supp drove home two runs with a 2 RBI single to right field for a 6-2 lead. CSS added three runs in the fifth to come within one, 5-6. In the top of the sixth,
Brian Baranok belted his first home run of the season over the left-center field wall, a two-run home run, as
Tyler Guadagno came around to score, 8-5.

From there it was all the Saints as they added two runs in the sixth, six runs in the seventh and two runs in the eighth. They held the Roadrunners scoreless in the final three innings of action as they took the game 15-8.

Ramapo collected 12 hits in the game as
Justin Garthaffner finished 4-4 on the night with two doubles, one RBI and two runs scored. Baranok finished 2-4 with two RBI and two runs scored while Lalomia also collected two hits with one RBI and one run scored.
Nick Danbrowney started the game for the Roadrunners earning the no decision, he struck out four, walked two and scattered nine hits over five innings of work.

The Roadrunners return to action tomorrow afternoon against Anderson University (IN) at 2pm and Ripon College with a scheduled start of 5:30pm.
