Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's swim team defeated Susquehanna University today in a non-conference meet, 127-116. The Roadrunners improve to 4-3 overall while the River Hawks move to 3-4 on the year.
The 200-yard medley relay team posted a winning time of 1:38.55. The team was made up of
Brendan McDevitt,
Emile Eeckhout,
Benjamin Gomez and
Josh Templeton. Templeton grabbed a first place finish in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:50.72. Eeckhout won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:00.47 while
Samuel De Leon placed second (1:04.18). In the 50-yard freestyle, Templeton won with a time of 21.95 seconds while he also won the 100-yard freestyle as Templeton touched the wall in 49.27 seconds. Eeckhout also won the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:13.94 while he finished second in the 200-yard IM in 2:04.71. The 200-yard freestyle relay team finished second in 1:32.48. The team was made up of De Leon,
Alessandro Alvarez, Sooy and
Tyler Moore. Sooy finished second in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:09.02.
Chris Lee and
Devin Alejado went 2-3 in the 100-yard backstroke with times of 56.98 seconds and 57.80 seconds respectively.
