Glassboro, NJ: The Rowan University men's basketball team earned a NJAC win over Ramapo College today, 92-73. The Profs improve to 20-4 overall and 13-4 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners now stand at 5-16 overall and 4-12 in the conference.
Rowan sank ten total three-pointers in the game along with an 80% (20-25) shooting performance from the free throw line. Four Profs scored in double figures while D'Andre Vilmar recorded a double double 16 points and 12 rebounds while he added two steals and one assist. Connor Dickerson finished 5-7 from the three-point line and 6-9 from the field as he led the team with 19 points while he added seven rebounds. Andrew Seager tallied 17 points, three assists and a team high five rebounds while Marcellus Ross added 13 points and five assists. Rowan shot 43% (31-72) from the field, 27% (10-36) from the three-point line and 80% (20-25) from the free throw line. The Profs recorded 39 rebounds in the game and forced 23 Roadrunner turnovers which led to 27 points for Rowan.
Shane Rooney posted his third double double of the season as he led the Roadrunners with 18 points and 14 rebounds.
Marquise Kindel tallied 14 points while
Jordan Myers added 13 points, nine rebounds, four assists, three blocks and one steal.
Mansfield Warren tacked on seven points, one assist and one steal. The Roadrunners shot 46% (30-65) from the field, 3-12 (25%) from the three-point line and 76% (10-13) from the free throw line.
Ramapo returns to action on Wednesday, Feb. 16th when they host Rutgers-Camden University at 5:30pm. The Roadrunners will honor their senior class in a pre-game ceremony.
