Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's basketball team wrapped up regular season play as they posted a 73-61 victory tonight over the Scarlet Raptors of Rutgers Camden to improve to 6-16 overall and 5-12 in NJAC play. The Scarlet Raptors fall to 1-20 overall and 1-17 in conference play.
Ramapo was led by a huge double-double from
Shane Rooney as he collected 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Peter Gorman led with 22 points hitting 8-14 with four three-point goals and
Jordan Myers added 11 points in the win. The team combined shooting 29-57 (51%). Myers also pulled down six rebounds and grabbed one steal while
Marquise Kindel grabbed a team high six steals.
For Rutgers Camden, Brandyn Stafford led team as he collected 14 points shooting 5-8. Jaymes Savage and Tyree Mann-Barnes each contributed 12 points as the team went a combined 21-48 (44%). Savage and Tristan Cornish each pulled down seven rebounds and Savage dished out five assists in the loss.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, February 19
th when they travel to #8 The College of NJ for a 3pm tip-off as they earned the #9 seed in the New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament.
