Las Vegas, NV: The University of Dubuque men's basketball team improved to 10-3 overall with an 84-62 win over Ramapo College tonight at the D3Hoops.com Classic. The Roadrunners now stand at 5-7 on the year.
Dubuque shot 40% from the three-point line in the game as they connected on 13 three-pointers while four out of five starters scored in double figures. Keegan Zimmerman led all scorers with 15 points while Jaylin McCants tallied 13 points and eight rebounds. Sam Kilburg was one of two players to tally three three-pointers as he posted 13 points and Brock Simon added 11 points, six rebounds and five assists. The team shot 44% (30-67) from the floors, 40% (13-32) from beyond the three-point line and 73% (11-15) from the free throw line. The Spartans defense forced 18 Ramapo turnovers which led to 24 points for Dubuque.

Shane Rooney,
Jordan Myers and
Anthony Corbo all lead the team with 14 points while Rooney and Corbo added seven rebounds each.
Elijah Barlow connected for 12 points while adding three rebounds. Ramapo shot 44% (22-50) from the floor in the game, 22% (2-9) from the three-point line and 69% (16-23) from the free throw line.
Dubuque went into the locker room at halftime up nine before Ramapo cut the lead to seven before they stretched their lead to 15 with a 13-7 run capped off with a three-pointer from Hunter Snyder with less than 14 minutes left in the second half. The Spartans took their biggest lead of the game with back-to-back three-pointers from Kilburg, 75-47, with 6:21 left to play. Ramapo cut the lead to under 20 with less than two minutes on the clock with a 9-0 run before the Spartans scored a jumper and their 13th three-pointer of the game for the, 84-62 victory.
Ramapo will return to action on January 4th when they travel to Montclair State University for a NJAC conference game scheduled for 7:30pm.
