Ewing, NJ: Junior
Suzanne Zaugg of the Ramapo College women's cross country team won the 2022 New Jersey Athletic Conference Individual Championship. The Roadrunners placed 4th overall with 112 team points in the 6k race.
Zaugg, whose winning time was 22:51.3, becomes the second consecutive Roadrunner to win the NJAC crown. At the 1.2k split, Zaugg was in third place while she moved up to second at the 3.6k split before she outkicked her competition down the stretch to win by two seconds.
Zoey Cassavell placed second for the team and 22nd overall in 24:19.2.
Jane Wagner finished third for the team and 28th overall posted a time of 24:43; Wagner won the 2021 NJAC individual title. Franchesca Cartanega placed fourth for Ramapo in 27:25.6 while
Angelica Ocasio finished fifth for the team in 27:48.3 to round out the team's top five finishers.
Ramapo will return to action on Saturday, November 12th when they travel to the NCAA Metro Regional Championships hosted by DeSales University.
