Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's soccer team posted a 7-0 shutout victory over the City College of New York today in non-conference action. The Roadrunners move to 6-6-3 overall while the Beavers now stand at 3-9-1 overall.
Mohit Nigam scored four goals today for the Roadrunners while he opened the game with a goal in the 13th minute off a pass from
Mateo Urrego, 1-0. He then scored on a header off a pass from Brandon NeNovaes in the 21st minute before
Alim Lita scored back-to-back goals in the 52nd and 53rd minute of action for a 4-0 lead.
Dylan Estrada assisted each of Lita's goals. Nigam added his third goal of the game when
Andrew Greitz sent in a free kick in the 67th minute before Grietz added his second assist of the game as
Mason Leszczynski tallied his first goal of the year in the 68th minute. Nigam then tallied his fourth goal and final of the game with Urrego earning the assist for the 7-0 lead.
For the game, Ramapo tallied 28 shots including 14 on goal while they posted six corner kicks. Ramapo goalie
Matthew Wilcox did not face a shot in the game to earn the shutout victory.
Ramapo returns to action on Tuesday, November 1st when they host a NJAC Men's Soccer semifinal game at 2:30pm. The Roadrunners will take on the winner of #3 Rowan/#6 NJCU, who are playing tonight at Rowan. Check www.ramapoathletics.com for updates on the tournament.
