Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's cross country team will compete at the 2022 NJAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday, October 29th. The meet is being hosted by the College of New Jersey while the race will begin at 11:15am.
The NJAC conference released a pre-championship poll, which is voted on by the nine league coaches. The Roadrunners have been picked to finish 4th as a team while also being picked as this year's dark horse, behind TCNJ (1), Rowan (2) and Stockton (3). The Roadrunners won the 2019 NJAC Team Title, the first team championship in program history. Ramapo has had three student-athletes win four NJAC Individual Titles; Kyle Price (2009), Jeremy Hernandez (2015 & 2016), and Chris Andersen (2021).
Last season the team finished 2nd overall while it was the first time Ramapo swept the individual titles when Andersen and Jane Wagner each crossed the finish line in first place. Heading into the conference championship,
Jason Mercado has led the Roadrunners this season while
Ian McCauley,
Mohamed Nidaazzi and
Ryan Pena all look to place in the top 10 to gain crucial team points for the team.
