Mahwah, NJ: The John Jay College women's soccer team defeated Ramapo College today in non-conference action. The Roadrunners move to 4-10 overall while the Bloodhounds stand at 10-2-2 on the year.
Carla Goodwin scored her team leading 9th goal of the year with 36:18 on the clock to put Ramapo on the board, 1-0, while
Sam Ingannamorte collected her team leading seventh assist of the year. John Jay would tie the game with 8:08 left in the first half as Mikayla Schoch collected her 7th goal of the season off a pass from Katie Healy, 1-1. In the second half, Healy scored the eventual game-winner off a pass from Galicia Monforte, her team leading 10th goal of the year to give John Jay a 2-1 lead.
John Jay posted 15 shots including 11 on goal while the Roadrunners tallied 13 shots and four on goal. Alexa Pyatsky posted four saves for the Bloodhounds.
Emma Conlan started and recorded five saves for Ramapo while
Makenna Tahbaz started the second half and recorded four saves.
Ramapo returns to action on Wednesday, October 26th when they host William Paterson University in a NJAC game at 3pm at the Athletic Center Grass Field.
