Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's soccer team posted a 4-2 NJAC win over rival Stockton University today at the Athletic Center Turf Field. The Roadrunners now stand at 4-6-3 overall and 4-2-2 in the NJAC where they not sit in second place in the league. The Ospreys move to 10-5-3 overall and 2-2-3 in the conference.
Damian Zurawski posted two goals in the game, the first coming with 3:17 on the clock off a pass from Jake Sztkowski to put Ramapo on the board, his fourth of the season. Mike McKeown tied the game with 5:31 on the board as Antonio Matos earned the assist, 1-1. Ramapo would then score back-to-back goals to take a 3-1 lead.
Ederson La Torre gave the Roadrunners the lead back in the 28th minute (27:04) off an assist from Zurawski before he scored his second goal of the game in the 37th minute (36:25).
Massimo Gallorini earned the assist. In the second half, Sebi Morello gave Stockton their second goal to come within one of tying the game while Matos earned his second assist on the day.
Kyle Allen would make it a 4-2 game in favor of the Roadrunners as
Dorant Bokshi and
Osbin Mendez earned the assist.
For the game, Ramapo posted 14 shots including eight on goal while Stockton tallied 19 shots and eight on goal. The Roadrunners posted two corner kicks and the Ospreys recorded five.
Nikolai Matthews recorded six saves in goal for Ramapo and Liam Brett posted four for Stockton.
Ramapo returns to action on Wednesday, October 26th when they travel to William Paterson University at 7pm for their final regular season game.
