Mahwah, NJ: The Montclair State University men's swim team posted a 168-89 win over Ramapo College today to open the 2022-2023 season at the Adele & Reuben Thomas Pool.
Emile Eeckhout finished second in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:14.32. The 200-yard medley relay posted a time of 1:41.45 as the team was made up of
Brendan McDevitt, Eeckhout,
Alessandro Alvarez and
Joe Swede.
Michael Sooy posted a time of 10:50.91 in the 1,000-yard breaststroke and placed third overall. In the 50-yard freestyle,
Benjamin Gomez clocked in at 22.84 seconds for a second place finish while A. Alvarez posted a time of 51.90 second to capture a first place finish in the 100-yard freestyle. McDevitt recorded a second place finish in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:07.86 while the 200-yard freestyle relay team placed first overall with a combined time of 1:32.63. The team was made up of Gomez, A. Alvarez,
Giovanni Alvarez and Swede.
The Roadrunners will return to action on Saturday, October 22nd when they take on Baruch College in non-conference action at 2pm.
