Box Score Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo College women's tennis team defeated William Paterson University, 8-1, this afternoon in NJAC action at the Athletic Center Tennis Courts. The Roadrunners even their overall record at 2-2 while they open the NJAC season at 1-0. This was the Pioneers season opener.
 
Melanie Brentnall won 6-0, 6-0 at first singles while Mackenzie Dates posted a 6-0, 6-2 win at second singles. Nicole Graham earned a shutout win at fourth singles, 6-0, 6-0 while Tahlia Crescenzo posted a  6-1, 7-5 win at fifth singles. Justine Gardella wrapped up singles play with a 6-0, 6-0 shutout win at sixth singles.
 
In doubles action, Brentnall and Graham won 8-1 at first doubles while Dates and Britt earned the same score at second doubles and Crescenzo and Madeline Zech posted a shutout victory, 8-0.
 
The Roadrunners return to action on October 19th when they travel to Manhattanville College for a non-conference match at 3pm.
