New York, NY: The Ramapo College women's indoor track and field team hosted the Ramapo Season Opener today at the New York Armory. The meet hosted teams from NCAA Division I, II and III.
Delilah Cruz set a new school record and personal best time in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.10 seconds after qualifying for the finals with a time of 9.16 seconds.
Meredith Yaskovic finished in 7th place in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.27 seconds, posting a new personal best. In the 600-meter race,
Julia Macaluso placed 16th overall with a time of 1:57.46 while
Suzanne Zaugg clocked in at 5:44.56 in the mile run for a 15th place finish. Yaskovic posted a 10th place finish in the 200-meter dash in 27.21 seconds while Cruz finished 12th overall in 27.35 seconds.
Kacy Ewing finished 15th in the 800-meter run in 2:42.80. In the 3k race,
Zoey Cassavell clocked in at 11:20.63 for a 12th place finish. The 4x400-meter relay team clocked in at 4:28.01. The team was made up of
Dina Ayoub, Ewing, Zaugg and Yaskovic.
The Roadrunners return to action on Friday, Jan. 28th when they travel to the Great Dane Classic at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex for a 10:30am start.
