Mahwah, NJ: The Rowan University men's swim team defeated Ramapo College, 129-54, in NJAC conference action. The Profs remained undefeated at 4-0 overall and 3-0 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners now stand at 1-2 overall and 0-2 in the conference.
Josh Templeton posted a time of 50.30 seconds in the 100-yard freestyle for a second place finish. The 200-yard medley relay team made up of
Brendan McDevitt,
Emile Eeckhout,
Giovanni Alvarez and
Chris Lee placed third overall with a time of 1:44.18.
Michael Sooy finished in third place in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:15.44 while Eeckhout placed third in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:07.51. McDevitt placed third overall in the 100-yard backstroke when he touched the wall in 59.48 seconds. The trio of Eeckhout (1:01.32), Sam De Leon (1:05.52) and Joshua Yee (1:13.39) finished 2-3-4 respectively in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Ramapo returns to action on January 22nd when they travel to Montclair State University for a NJAC meet at 1pm.
