Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

WESTCONN COMES BACK TO DEFEAT RAMAPO

Danbury, CT:  Western Connecticut State University came back to defeat the Ramapo College women's soccer team 4-1 today in non-conference action. WestConn improve to 3-0 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 0-3 on the year.
 
Ramapo got on the board early in the game with a goal from Sam Ingannamorte in the fourth minute of action (3:57). WestConn then tallied four straight unanswered goals including two in the first half. Skylar Jorge tied the game 1-1 in the 10th minute (9:58) before Myah Croze scored the eventual game-winner in the 39th minute (38:28).
 
In the second half, the hosts tacked on two goals to extend their lead 4-1. Lillian Daniels (47:43) and Croze added her second goal of the game (61:28). WestConn held a 19-16 advantage in shots in the game including 12-5 in shots on goal while they earned four corner kicks to Ramapo's two.
 
Karly Martin made four saves for WestConn in 77 minutes of action while Kristen Roessler did not need to make a save in the final 13 minutes of the game. For the Roadrunners, Emma Conlan recorded two saves in 52 minutes of play while Makenna Tahbaz tallied six saves in the final 38 minutes of the game.
 
Ramapo returns to action on Wednesday, September 15th when they host Drew University for a non-conference game at 4pm.
