Mahwah, NJ: The Drew University women's soccer team earned a 2-0 shutout this afternoon over Ramapo College at the Athletic Center. The Rangers improve to 4-1 overall.
Alexa Krause ripped a shot that the Ramapo goalkeeper was able to save but Rebecca Racine collected the ball off the rebound in the 58th minute to put Drew on the board, 1-0. The team's second goal of the game came off a long pass from Gabby Gilgorri and Racine was able to slip the ball past the Ramapo keeper to extend Drew's lead 2-0 in the 88th minute of action (87:29).
Each team had seven shots on goal while Drew held a slight 6-4 advantage in corner kicks in the game.
Makenna Tahbaz posted five saves in the net for the Roadrunners while Anthi Panayides collected seven for the Rangers.
The Roadrunners (0-4 overall) return to action on Saturday, September 18th when they travel to Rowan University for the first NJAC game of the season. The game is slated to start at 6pm.
