MEN'S SOCCER DEFEATS MORAVIAN 4-1

Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo College men's soccer team improved to 2-1 overall with a 4-1 win over Moravian University. The Roadrunners improve to 2-1 overall while the Greyhounds even their record at 1-1 overall.
 
Ederson La Torre put Ramapo on the board with a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute as he scored his first goal of the season. Juan Uribe assisted on the team's first goal. Ramapo would take the one goal lead into the second half before they added three goals. Dorant Bokshi took a pass from Massimo Gallorini in the 60th minute (59:01) before Massimo tallied his second goal of the year in the 70th minute (69:26). The goal was assisted by Brian Kelly and pushed Ramapo's lead to 3-0.
 
Moravian got on the board in the 89th minute (88:17) when Matt Guerrero scored his first goal of the year. The Roadrunners were awarded a penalty kick in with 89:26 left in the game and Samuel Guttman capitalized extending the lead, 4-1. The Greyhounds posted 10 shots on goal to Ramapo's seven while the Roadrunners held a 3-2 advantage in corner kicks in the game.
 
Joshua Schaffer recorded nine saves in the game for Ramapo. For Moravian, Mason LeSage tallied three saves in 77 minutes of action while Andrew Remias played the final 13 minutes for the Greyhounds.
 
The Roadrunners return to action when they host Western Connecticut State University in a non-conference game at 1pm.
